Background
Dr. Ventresca began her career as a psychological researcher at Pennsylvania State University before following her passion for psychology to Columbia University. Her first master’s degree in Developmental Psychology evolved into work with global leaders in the field such as Sesame Street and Disney. Taken by generations of children’s stories, Dr. Ventresca quickly discovered the power of resilience and hope. This profoundly shaped her understanding of how people grow and adapt throughout their lives.
Dr. Ventresca obtained her second master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Psychology from Yeshiva University | Albert Einstein College of Medicine, while training at ColumbiaDoctors, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian, and The University of Pennsylvania. A member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB), and the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, she continues to value education and clinical innovation.
Dr. Ventresca completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Behavioral Health at Cornell University, where she concentrated on Health Psychology and the mind–body connection—a perspective increasingly embraced in medicine by patients and practitioners alike. She is a staunch advocate of therapy as a form of healing and self-care.
